A HUGE congratulations to our Region’s very own, Maureen Clark. Maureen Clark was awarded an MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours List for 2025!
Maureen has been a volunteer for over 60 years, starting at grass roots level in Croydon (Surrey). Her volunteering accolades involve, setting up clubs, umpiring, coaching, being an umpire tutor, Croydon League committee, Chair SCNA, and Regional Chair for the London & South East Region.
Maureen with others produced the template for umpire courses in Surrey (when they were previously delivered by individual Counties), she introduced the first Netball Development Officer (NDO) in Surrey, pioneered new player pathway/academy regimes following ceasing of representative teams by EN, and has supported the Beyond the Court initiative.
Maureen became Chair of the Surrey County Netball Association (SCNA) in the 1980s. Overall, she has been involved with SCNA for approximately 50 years.
As well as being a top level coach, umpire, umpire tutor, England Netball Honourary Life Member, and Surrey Lifetime Achievement Award holder, Maureen Clark can now add MBE to her outstanding list of achievements.
