London and South East Netball Structure

The London and South East Region is one of 9 Regional Units covering England. Each Region has an elected Regional Management Board (RMB) of volunteers who work closely with England Netball staff. Together we develop and facilitate the delivery of all aspects of netball within the Region.

The London and South East Region is made up of four Counties:

Essex Metropolitan

Our Region was the home of Martina Bergman-Österberg (initially in Hampsted) but subsequently Dartford (Kent) who played a pivotal role in the early development of netball as a sport. The London and South East Region became the home of netball in the United Kingdom and today still has the world's oldest netball club.

Each County has their own County committee dealing with local matters and a Netball Development Officer (NDO) who works to promote and develop netball within the County through clubs and schools.

There are also four Netball Development Community Coaches Netball Development Community Coaches (NDCCs) who are responsible for developing, marketing and coaching the Back to Netball and Walking Netball programmes.
